Two steps for you. Everything else is our job.

You find your property and authorize us as your agent online. Our licensed consultants prepare the evidence, file the protest and represent you from the first notice to the final value.

Your part

About five minutes, all online.

  1. 1

    Find your property

Search by street address or by the account number on your appraisal notice. Add every property you want represented — homes, rentals and commercial buildings.

  2. 2

    Sign the appointment online

Confirm the owner’s legal name and sign Texas Form 50-162 electronically. It takes a few minutes, and a signed copy is emailed to you.

Our part

Licensed property tax consultants with more than 100 years of combined experience, representing owners since 1976.

  1. 3

    File your appointment of agent

We file Form 50-162 with the appraisal district so notices and decisions about your property come to us.

  2. 4

    Analyze your value

When the notice of appraised value arrives, we compare it with recent sales and with how similar properties are valued — the market value and equity arguments the law allows.

  3. 5

    File the written protest

We file a written protest before the deadline: May 15, or 30 days after your notice arrives, whichever is later.

  4. 6

    Negotiate at the informal review

Many protests settle here. We present the evidence to the appraisal district and negotiate the value down.

  5. 7

    Represent you at the hearing

If the informal offer isn’t fair, we argue your case before the appraisal review board. You don’t need to attend.

  6. 8

    Report the result

You see the final value, the reduction and the agreed order in your account. Arbitration is available for an additional fee if the board’s decision isn’t fair.

The Texas property tax year

Sign before the protest deadline and we handle every date after it.

An income statement and a property information sheet.

  • Condition issues

Photos of damage, contractor or repair estimates, inspection reports.

  • Recent purchase or appraisal

Your closing statement or a recent independent appraisal.
